COVID-19 UPDATE
24 September 2021

Greetings Watoto Family!

I trust that the Lord has kept you well.

On behalf of the Watoto Leadership, we want you to know that we are grateful for each one of you and we praise God for sustaining us throughout 2021. It has been a challenging one for many due to the recent wave of COVID-19 and we continue to pray with those of you who have lost loved ones during this period. Let us continue to trust God because our help comes from Him. Like the Psalmist said, “My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!” (Psalm 121:2)

On Wednesday 22nd September, the President addressed the nation and lifted the restriction on physical church gatherings, allowing for 200 people to congregate. This is good news and we are working towards resuming our in-person gatherings. Here are some updates for you.

1. Church Gatherings: We are resuming our in-person celebration services on Sunday, 17 October. We will do so within the regulated numbers, while observing all the recommended Ministry of Health Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). All our teams are working to ensure you have a safe and meaningful worship experience at Church. Further details will be available on our website www.watotochurch.com and on all our social media platforms over the next couple of weeks. We look forward to seeing you in-person!

2. Cell Family (Small Groups): We encourage you to resume in-person cell gatherings while observing all the Ministry of Health SOPs. Remember, life is better when we do it together. If you would like to join a cell family, we would be honoured to help you find one. Write to us at cell@watotochurch.com.

3. Church Online & On-Air: Our celebration services will continue to be broadcast online and onair. Please, keep inviting your friends and family to be a part of these services. We encourage you to watch the service, online or on-air, as a cell family, a group of cells or at a microsite in your community. Please speak to your cell leader and host for further information about this.

Thank you for your commitment as we continue to Celebrate Christ and Care for Community. Our prayer is that together, we will continue reaching the lost and hurting with the love of Jesus, that transforms individuals, communities, cities and nations for the glory of God.

May God bless you,
Julius Rwotlonyo
