As you may already be aware from the Presidential address this past weekend, some of the national lockdown restrictions are being eased across the country, including in-person church gatherings effective this week.

We are excited at the possibility of meeting our family all across Uganda in the very near future, but we want to do so with the highest level of care and concern for the health and safety of every one of our members and teams.

As we all continue to adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines provided for us by our national leaders, we encourage you to take note of the following announcements pertaining to our gatherings.

Our desire is to ensure that all of our church members have a meaningful experience in our church services, while we observe national guidelines for the health and safety of our congregation and volunteer teams. With the restriction of a maximum of 70 people at a celebration service and no in-person children’s church services, we will have no physical services at any of our locations but we will continue to gather as a church family online and on-air as we pray for more favourable conditions.

The pastoral team is discussing ways that we can still gather in our various communities and we will communicate as soon as this is finalised.

We are glad that we are now able to gather responsibly in our small groups/cells across the country. In order for us to continue to care for each other during this period, our advice is that small group meetings take place in an open area to allow for social distancing, and at a time appropriate to abide by curfew restrictions. If you’re unable to set up suitable conditions to meet in person, we encourage you to continue meeting virtually in the meantime.

As a church, we are available to serve you in any way that we can. The offices at our campuses are open Monday to Friday during office hours, and our Pastors, counsellors and other ministry teams are here for you. We will continue to do weddings at all the gazetted venues and in line with national guidelines. If you need to talk to someone or just need someone to pray with, please do not hesitate to contact us on +256 776 260 007, +256 776 260 071 or email us at

Let’s all continue to be vigilant in taking the necessary steps to combat the spread of this virus. God is faithful and He will take us through this period. Thank you for being a part of this amazing family that’s passionate about celebrating Christ and caring for community. Stay safe and stay connected.

May God bless you,

Pastor Julius Rwotlonyo
Associate Team Leader, Watoto
