WEEK FOUR: MONDAY 25  TO FRIDAY 29 MAY 2020

THEME: REJOICE WITH THANKSGIVING

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18: Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Thanksgiving is the expression of appreciation, gratitude, and adoration to GOD.

Sometimes the constant life demands, struggles, and worries give more room to defeat than to a heart of gratitude. Or amid the busyness and pressures of life, we forget to pause and give thanks. This week, we are taking that pause to be grateful for all that God has done and continues to do.

Thanksgiving focuses your mind on God, releases the grip of anxiety, comparison and complaining. When we are grateful, we are strengthened by His peace and refueled with His joy.

Secondly, at the end of each day we will take the word of God and His promises and prophesy. To prophesy is to proclaim God’s word over your life and the various situations around us. Romans 4:17 says “…calls those things which do not exist as though they did…”. So we will proclaim His word in faith over our lives, family, church, nation and the entire world.
